MERRY CHRISTMAS~! :D

We just got back from Vigil Mass. At this one the kids do the Christmas pageant, and it was rather uneventful, went smoothly, except for toward the end, everyone starts pointing to the back while the narrator was like "Where are the Wise Men?"

They were in the second floor balcony, so Father, who had come down to sit in the congregation and ended up being right in front of me and Mom, was like "In the choir loft," and me and Mom died. So he turns around and gives us this look, and is like "Well, they are," kind of indignant-like. It was hilarious.

I can't wait for dinner. Christmas Eve dinner is always hors d'ouerves, so it's usually pretty fun.

Speaking of dinner, I am hungry.

Also, I still have to write those two Christmas stories. Well, I have until the seventh, so... yeah. They should be up before then, though.

As much as I adore trolling with Raighto, I want to troll as Cartman. He'd be the best troll ever, especially since he's a legit character, so I can just app him somewhere and go to town. Hilarity would ensue.

Monday, me and magna_siobhan met up with bhs15 and Beth at Newks, then we went to Delanie's for games and a movie. We played this game called "Pass the Popcorn," and watched The Hangover. Fun night.

Then yesterday me and magna_siobhan went to Red Lobster and the Boardwalk, so she could see Princess and the Frog and I could get a Christmas present for Mom.

It feels kind of bad being genre savvy for Disney - like of course Ray's going to die, how else will he end up with Evangeline? That doesn't excuse my cheering when Dr. Facilier killed him. :|

Either way, it's a pity Tiana's Palace is only going to last until the stock market crashes.

Today we met up with Kate, Jay, Jason and Chelsea and hung out at Jay's house. First we ran into Kate at Barnes & Noble, and I rode with her while Siobhan went to go pick up Jason. We bounced story ideas off of each other on the ride. It's kind of nice being friends with a chem major who can help me with some plot holes.

We had food and stuff, then we played Dirty Santa and Scrabble Apple. I ended up with a $15 Barnes & Noble gift card.

Then after Tower of Druaga kicked my ass, we went outside. Jay's dad and one of his friends had lit a fire in their fire pit, and we started with setting sticks on fire - and by that I mean holding sticks in the fire, and, once they started burning, waving them around. Then Jay got the marshmallow sticks, and we started roasting Slim Jims. Marshmallows too, of course - mine caught fire, so I was running around for a bit with a fireball on a stick - but we started with Slim Jims.

Jason went in and made a health kabob - broccoli, a tomato, a carrot, an orange slice, and a cracker. He didn't get to roast it, though, seeing as it started raining as soon as he tried to do so.

Last night I went out with Kate - we went to Sushiko and then to see The Princess and the Frog,, because The Lovely Bones isn't out yet. This movie is so amazing.

Then today, Anthony had some Eagle Scout thing. Some Christmas party or something, all I know is that I had to go to it. It wasn't too bad, though. There were a couple of cute guys there. ;) Also, since we got there early, Anthony's going to be in a commercial honoring the 100th year of Boy Scouting or something. My brother is a Large Ham. :)

Survivor. I normally don't watch it - in fact I usually hate Reality TV - but OMG. This season. Russell. I'm fully expecting him to lose since he's so cocky, but as long as Brett doesn't win, I really don't care. Of course I want Russell, but... yeah.

*sigh* It's been a slow week. I have mixed feelings about Saturday, because there's two new episodes of RPM before the series finale next week, but if it doesn't get preempted, it'll conflict with at least two things I have to do. I just want to stay home and watch it. D:

Maybe things'll pick up next week. Maybe I can go over Kitty's again and play more Dragon Age. Next Sunday bhs15 and I are going to an early show at the Boardwalk... then sticking around all day sneaking into different movies. It's going to be fun.

Oh, and tomorrow, I'm going to be Running The Asylum. Fun fun. >)

Mmm, I felt so neglected internet-wise yesterday and today. Kind of depressing.

So, today I went to go see The Princess and the Frog with Kitty, and then we went to her house to play Dragon Age.

All right, PatF. The stuff behind the cut is EXTREMELY PREDICTABLE SPOILERS.

First off, Dr. Facilier.

The man is awesome. He's no Hades, but a very close second. "Friends on the Other Side" is my favorite Disney Villain Song ever. I cannot stop listening to it, and I couldn't stop listening to it before I went to go see it today.

They did their work when they showed the Tarot cards in Naveen's hand - The Fool, Three of Pentacles, and The Tower. Good work, Disney. But it's pretty awesome that okay, kissing a princess will make Naveen transform back. Any girl who marries him will be a princess. What's the thing he least wants to do? Get married. Of course, Dr. Facilier sees this pretty much instantly. He wins.

I think Naveen and Tiana's romance was a little forced, though. I mean, I think they all are, except Beauty and the Beast since it's implied to take place over a really long period of time, but this one was just like what. :|

Lastly, my favorite thing about the movie? CHARLOTTE. I loved her so so much. She was just awesome, and just like with Dr. Facilier, I found myself fangirling every time she was on the screen. I'm just glad she didn't turn out to be a huge bitch. :D

It's not really a shout out, since they really do talk like that down there, but it's fun to pretend it is. ;)

And apparently Dragon Age is harder on PC than it is on Xbox or PS3, but since I have neither of those, nor am I planning on getting one in the near future, well. There goes that. I don't know if Mom Santa will get me that, since I just told her him I wanted it about three hours ago, but. I hope I do. And then it will kick my ass.

I want to start playing it because Alistair, who I've met, and Zevran, who I haven't, seem awesome. It's mostly because Zevran reminds me so so much of Al-Cid from FF12, at least, he would if Al-Cid were an assassin. ;)

Tomorrow I should be going to he Boardwalk to see The Lovely Bones with Kate, so we'll see how that goes. It's got the chick who plays the current Yellow Ranger, Summer, so there will be much fangirling. :)

Today's Feast of Saint Lucy, yay~!

That meme I posted last time - EVERYONE SHOULD DO IT. YES, EVEN YOU.

I was thinking earlier today, and I came up with characters for a story that might fit this go-round of imaginarybeasts. The theme is apocalypse/dystopia, so since I want the characters to be part of some bigger project, that will probably never get written. I'm not that worried, since I'm not aiming for it to be too too long and I still have a month to do it, a month with no prior engagements.

Said characters are Mauer, Caroline, Holly, Fortunato, and an as-of-now unnamed POV character / Decoy Protagonist, since the main story's going to be Mauer's resolution. I don't know how well that'll work out, though, because of some scenes I have in mind where the DP would have absolutely no reason to be there. Maybe the IB story can be about how those four got together. IDK.

Also, I'm going to be doing a couple of Christmasy stories. The first is the last IB thing I lost when I had to nuke my computer, and the other one is this Colonial period thing that I wrote part of in the car driving back from Baton Rouge. Now if I just have the motivation to get off my lazy ass and write them.

So, it looks like the Saints aren't the Ain'ts this year - until they lose in the playoffs.

I wish there was a good meme floating around - and no, not that muse one. Well, at least now I have nothing preventing me from starting that Chopper fic. Good thing that only has to be a drabble.

I'm doing a log with KB, and I feel like I'm playing Aki so ridiculously OOC there (and in TST in general, too, I guess) it's not even funny.

I Am A: Chaotic Good Elf Paladin Bard


Alignment:
Chaotic Good characters are independent types with a strong belief in the value of goodness. They have little use for governments and other forces of order, and will generally do their own things, without heed to such groups.


Race:
Elves are the eldest of all races, although they are generally a bit smaller than humans. They are generally well-cultured, artistic, easy-going, and because of their long lives, unconcerned with day-to-day activities that other races frequently concern themselves with. Elves are, effectively, immortal, although they can be killed. After a thousand years or so, they simply pass on to the next plane of existance.


Primary Class:
Paladins are the Holy Warriors. They have been chosen by a God/dess to be their representative on Earth, and must follow the code of that deity, or risk severe penalties. They tend towards being righteous, but not generally to excess.


Secondary Class:
Bards are the entertainers. They sing, dance, and play instruments to make other people happy, and, frequently, make money. They also tend to dabble in magic a bit.

If I could be any anime/manga/game character, I'd want to be Yako. She's so awesome and so brave and so human and not idealized or anything and akjdshfkal I just love her so so so much. The fact that she eats really ridiculous amounts and is still rail-thin has nothing to do with this, no really.

And Aki. Oh, Aki. I don't even know where to start with him. Normally the kind of character I'd go for in P3 is Ryoji, but Aki. He's the Blood Knight type that I couldn't find endearing if I tried unless it's Kenpachi normally, but he makes me want to do better in everything. Some of my recent motivation has been if he'd be proud of me, lame as it is. He's my lifespiration.

I'm going to start those alphabet drabbles tonight. As much as I want to, I just can't focus on Vinland Saga. Although Askeladd stealing the entire treasury and just being all "lolol look what I just did" was the funniest thing ever. I died.

But now we know what Shinji's zanpakutou is. I'm SO EXCITED, like you guys have NO IDEA. Knowing Kubotroll, though, it's either going to be really lame, or really easily beaten. I'm pulling for something involving time reversal, but that whole "reversal" part of it is probably a red herring. I'd say the fact that the tsuba resembles an hourglass is part of that too. Who knows. Dammit Kubotroll.

IDK. Sakanade as a whole means "irritation." I'll admit, even if I didn't like Shinji that much, since zanpakutou's names are usually relevant, I'd wonder what it can do to earn a name like that.
